"Let me take you on an exciting journey to where it all began! Picture this: a Cemetery versus a Mental Institution – two contrasting worlds that sparked my passion and purpose

My transformative journey began in November 1981, in Wilmington, N.C., when my manager presented me with an incredible opportunity to help integrate an all-white cemetery in Suitland, MD. He recognized my dedication as the first African American in our organization and believed I was the right person for this vital mission. Embracing this challenge, I drew strength from my family's unwavering support.

On February 28, 1982, my brother, the General Manager of a Toyota dealership, motivated me with a heartfelt hug and a $100 bill, inspiring me to seize the potential that lay ahead. Despite the skepticism of my newly white co-workers who doubted my ability, I persevered and also became a licensed life insurance agent and founded Re-turn Insurance Service Group in November 1998. My mission was to empower senior clients with the knowledge they needed to navigate life insurance and manage financial obligations after losing a loved one.

Now appointed with eight insurance carriers, including three that assist with pre-planned funeral arrangements, we proudly partner with Inman Travel to offer final expense shipping options and Titan Caskets that offer pre-need caskets and cremation urns, as well as "That's Love Uninterrupted", unique memorial keepsake cards.   

The P.S. that Started it All

They say the "P.S." at the bottom of an email is always the most memorable part. In May 2023, I proved that theory right when a single postscript led to my unexpected departure from my previous company. It was a sudden, challenging setback—but true consulting is about finding solutions under pressure.

Instead of letting that email be the final word on my career, I chose to own it. In October 2023, I launched Prime Simetery Consultant Services, P.S.

The name is a daily reminder that major setbacks aren't the end of your story—they are just the postscript to a much stronger beginning. Today, I bring that exact same resilience, bold ownership, and problem-solving determination to every client I serve. (And yes, I still write postscripts).
